In the Public Chamber of Russia proposed to introduce a "tax on Google»

Chairman of the Public Chamber on the development of the information society, the media and mass communications Dmitry Biryukov offered to oblige Internet search engines allocate funds to show their media materials. He spoke about this at the expanded session of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, RIA Novosti reported.

"In all European countries actually exists today in one way or another law or laws that fix that publication in a search engine or website some information was in a newspaper or magazine, and this newspaper or magazine receives a fixed amount. In Spain, for example, passed a bill when Google deducts 7 per cent of their income in the country by the Spanish media, "- said Biryukov.

According to him, so it will be implemented additional support Russian media.

"I think that this may be the subject of a law that would give the Russian media the necessary amount of money that could be used to finance the subscription or retail in the right areas," - he said.

Biryukov said that the European Union has already prepared appropriate recommendations for the participating countries. They are aimed at the unification in 2016 all legislation in this area and the fact that foreign search engines pay regional media, if they are mentioned.

Adopted in Spain in July, a new law was the informal name of Google Tax (tax on Google) and needs to charge news aggregators such as Google News, which show at fragments of media materials. It does not matter whether the service permission from the publishers or not.

In connection with the new legislation had to close your Google news service in Spain for failure to pay royalties, as the company does not advertise on Google News, therefore, does not receive income from it.

C pressure in this regard on the part of European Publishers Google is facing in recent times. For example, German law requires a search engine aggregator show in his only link to the article and the title, but it does not oblige the company to pay for such a service.

Similar news services also have Russian search engines, such as "Yandex», Mail.ru, Rambler.
